Hero of Fate

Nothing like Vampire Survivors, so that reviewer lied. Game IS a single stick survivor but focuses on RPG style choices and aesthetics, making you choose story and quest paths. It paces much slower with no exploration of the map required, everything happens on screen. The game would be fine if it didn't fail to be tested. Movement is a drunken chore as walking left or right makes the character move up or down as well, seemingly randomly. The game told me 'press E to continue', proving this wasn't fully tested after port. The UI is a lot of unclickable buttons (for example accept and decline show as on screen buttons you cannot highlight but you press A or B to do), and the button to pause is the B button? Why not use the one button almost every game since 80's NES has used? But I cannot stress enough how bad moving is. That dropped the game from good to anger-inducing. Also, paused to write this review and came back to the game acting as if I closed the app completely. -1 more star

I've played every VS/Brotato game on Xbox. My current fav genre. This had the makings of being one of the best. The reviews about horrible controls are accurate. I bought it anyway thinking "how bad can they really be". Want to go left or right?...you go diagonal. Want to go up or down?...you go diagonal. It's a shame. If the controls got fixed this would be an easy 5 star.

Super janky and uninspired. It's like a low effort rpg maker version of the genre, tryna get a refund 10 minutes in -_-

Played 40+ hours. Would love more. Any other games like this? I 100% all achievements ✨👍

Front and center is the Monk / Martial Artist. That DLC isnt offered on XBOX ( its on PC though). It is agood game. My only issue is that unlocking some classes is convoluted and requires looking up guides on the internet.
