Dragonkin: The Banished

I finished the campaign (50+ hrs), and so far have sunk another 20+ hrs into the end-game (all solo). My opinion so far is quite positive, though with a few caveats. Combat is fun, enemies are varied, and there's a truly cool & innovative skill system. Maps are large, freely explorable, and showcase diverse biomes, but exploration doesn't always feel rewarding. Loot is (mostly) engaging, but items sometimes feel a bit generic (no uniques that I've seen so far). And the narrative elements, while generally entertaining, are sometimes overcomplicated (in the campaign) or under-explained (in the end-game), and often leave me confused. But still, I'm having a good time playing.

It's a solid ARPG made from indie developers, so dont go into it expecting triple A quality. If youre a fan of these types of games, then there should be more than enough here for you to enjoy (especially considering the price point.) Overall the game has solid visuals, solid performance, and solid buildcrafting. The story is mid, but most people who play ARPGs dont care about the story. Game is sure to satisfy those who are into the ARPG genre. (Update) DO NOT try to play this game in co op; the framerate becomes unplayable once you reach higher levels and endgame. For solos I would say the game is fine, but what once was a five star review goes down to a three star for me because of the horrid framerate later in the game. Now a 4 4/5 for me.

Focusing mainly on end game it plays alot like d3. The gear is mostly stat sticks but the fun and variety come from the ancestral fragment system and how you set your skills up. Most skills are viable with atleast 1 "op" way to build each class acheivable by your average gamer. I solidly recomend this hidden gem

I almost skipped this gem until my buddy told me it was behind the team that made warhammer chaosbane which i absolutely loved. This felt like such a posotive evolution from that.
