Indie Gems Bundle - Explosions Edition

The main complaints i saw where about the game being hard, this is not a valid reason to give this game a 1 star. That is a skill issue not a game issue.

This is a great spaceship *bullet hell* shooter. Essentally ,one life per level, or boss. Win or start over. It has 16 bit graphics and a killer metal acoustic sound track. I personally ,would like the game better if it had easy, and medium level difficulty levels. But then I guess it wouldn't be a * bullet hell* game if it were too easy. Though I think it would appeal to amuch larger audience if it had options to set the difficulty. Even if your not a *bullet hell* fan, if you like 80's. retro 80's games or spasceship shooters,this game is solid when you want a hour of mindless fun.

The developers of this game, knocked it out of the park. Being someone who spent alot of my youth inside video arcades, I can tell you this game is phenomenal. It looks a little like the old Return of the jedi game. But the gameplay is original, creative, and breathtaking. I will be looking out for games from this group in the future. Great job people.

Your're under attack by space pirates! So hop in your ship and fight back! Check your reflexes though because this game throws more and more at you each wave of enemies you come across. Each wave is different and random. Even after dying and starting over, which adds to the challenge. Don't worry because you can dish it back with a variety of weapon and upgrade pickups after destroying cargo ships and defeating the bosses. Bosses that each have their own unique and creative attack patterns. Although the patterns are fun to look at, some are not easy to dodge. Steredenn is definitely an easy to pick up but hard to master game. Each time you die, you start all over. It's not so bad though because each time you die, you learn from it and play better. The achievements are fairly decent. Putting in the fun hours and eventually beating the game will unlock the majority of them. Steredenn is one chaotic game that is easy to play and have fun with.

You'll find plenty of reviews that complain of the difficulty, but if you are into true retro experiences, this delivers. It's hard, bullets fill the entire screen, you HAVE to memorize boss patterns, and death is common. The rogue-lite randomized runs and AMAZING soundtrack have kept me coming back for years. Great pixel art too. This game is prime indie <3
