TLDR; If you're a fan of drifting and/or japanese car culture, this is a must own. Wait for a sale.
I started this game with pretty low expectations, but was quickly taught just how much love was poured into this title. Cars look, sound and feel great to drive. The world is interesting and beautiful. The story is engaging and interesting, with characters that I came to enjoy and wanted more of. (Please do a sequel!)
On to the bad; Framerate is inconsistent even in performance mode. The world, though beautiful, is completely devoid of any life. Some objects around the map cannot be broken when driving through them while others can. This makes for a confusing experience. Lighting is inconsistent across the board. Driving in cockpit view is hard to see due to a "tint filter" on the windshield, making everything near impossible to see around midday/night.

An Absolute Must Buy For Any Initial D Fan!
This is basically the best Initial D game I have ever played. The only one that really captures the feel of the anime. The setting is very similar, it has the story explained in manga comics that have sound effects to go with them, and overall it just feels like a love letter to that franchise and setting. The graphics also strike an attractive art style that's somewhat anime inspired, sort of reminds me of the newer Persona games. The car selection is great, half are officially licensed, the other half are obvious and well represented, all Japanese modern classics. You have 3 competition classes, drift, grip racing, and drag racing, and they remind me of the better Need For Speed games. Physics are fun to play with, music totally hits the Initial D animes, overall I am very satisfied with what I got.

Its good but....
Its great, the driving, the cars and map diversity. But there's one problem....the gps seems to know the map even less than i do. Its really annoying, youll try to deliver some sushi and it'll lead you all the way around the map instead of the fastest route. FIX it please. But yes buy the game

Great
It has flaws, but its got charm. The map could use some polish, but the vision is there. The handling model is quite good, and the graphics, while a bit dated, make up for it in terms of detail. Overall, I think that with a bit more time and funding, the devs should be able to make a serious competitor to at least something like carx street. Congrats to the devs on making a great game that is really easy to pour hours into.
