Ogre Tale” is a Swordplay Action game that takes place in modern-day Japan. Three Sisters, descendants of the Ogre Tribe, will fight famous heroes from Japanese fairytale, such as “Momotaro”
In addition to the character growth mechanisms, the game will feature Online Multiplayer.
It's very similar to the old PB side scroller, which is not a bad thing. It's a beat em up that plays kinda like a fighting game. As though it was built for an arcade joystick. you press up to jump, double tap to dash and dodge, that kinda thing.
It's weeby, but not too gooner, so no worries on that front. It's cute, character designs are nicely done, and the script is funny. Lots of 4th wall breaking, self aware humor. And a fat grampa cat.
Got a pretty deep skill celing too. All in all, a fun little game so far. My only complaint at this point is that it doesn't allow for dedicated jump and dodge buttons. I know it's traditional for the japanese beat em up genre, all the way back to the beginning, but i'm not really effected by nostalgia in any way, so for me it does just feel like a QOL absence. i'm sure many will appreciate the adherence to genre traditions, but it's the highly subjective reason i gave one less star.
Good game, worth a play. Will update if needed.

Fun Beat'em up with action, humor, and loot to spare👍
This is a fun side scroller made by the same folks who developed Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds. The sprites are great, the music is solid, and the writing is actually pretty funny. That said, this game's depth of combat and abundant loot system is where it truly shines. Defeated enemies can potentially drop weapons, jewels, and talismans. The weapons with higher rarity will have slots (up to four I've seen). Jewels give various stat boosts, while talismans grant special character actions (triple jump, air dash, etc). This gives the player a great deal of customization, and the ability to create a variety of builds. As Coffin said, the controls are like a fighting game. I found experimenting with how to mix basic character movement with talisman actions and special attacks to be very enjoyable. Unlike with many Western titles nowadays, I do not regret my purchase in the slightest.

A downgrade
Same devs as Phantom Breaker, but bad quality. Great humor, voice work, and art, but everything else fails. Huge input delay, buttons sometimes being completely unresponsive, and mislabeled numbers for stats. At level 1 using the whip wielder I was doing 300+ damage a hit. Swapped her whip to one claiming it does 164 more damage and watched her numbers drop to 100-110.
But I cannot stress enough how bad combat truly is due to delay and unseemless jumping (have to stop moving to jump). Bosses block nearly everything, so almost every boss is just a spam special attack until you win.
I'll add in development on Steam users complained about the delay in controls and it apparently was never resolved.
Edit: Removed another star for recycling the same 4 maps and making me do annoying maze bs over and over. It isn't fun, it doesn't need to be in a beat em up more than once, if at all!
Also, some achievements are broken and online co-op finds no servers.

Adorable lil Game
A little casual game. I hope they improve upon this cause it's good but pretty basic. They re-use levels more than they should. The bosses we're disappointing since you just spam ult not needing much skill.
