Because then you'll never be able to be lost in the mystery again. Dont look up anything, the internet is your worst enemy here. It is confusing and for some overwhelming at first, but stick with it. Expect mystery, a feeling of accomplishment for every clue you uncover, and the best payoff in videogame history, with a sublime soundtrack to boot.
