Quake II

Hope they port Quake 4

This is the game that started it all for me. 486 or Pentium I with Voodoo 3D card over dial up. Freeze tag mod! Who remembers that?

Please put Heretic 1 & 2 along with Hexen 1 & 2 on gamepass. These are the original goats along with Doom & Quake.

Current gen gamers may find this a bit underwhelming. Keeping in mind that this game was released 26 years ago (in 1997), I must say that this overhaul is nothing short of fantastic!! They have completely updated the graphics yet managed to maintain the original graphical charm of the OG. The game runs butter smooth on my Series X, with no bugs or crashes. One thing I always loved about the campaign was its length.....its loooong. You get all the DLC, and then some. So for those of us that loved this game back in the day, this release is like getting a love letter from a long lost romance. I use a standard controller and my only gripe so far is the weapon wheel and swapping weapons quickly (its kind of hit or miss). There's simply too many weapons to map to a controller...there's just not enough buttons on the cotroller for that plus managing inventory....but I'm getting used to it. Overall this is an outstanding offering and a very faithfully recreated blast from the past.
