MechWarrior 5: Clans

Definitely a Solid game. Playable and enjoyable. Only issue i have is it feels choppy in heavy combat occasionally. Could just be my xbox since i cook steak on it.

The sharing of two different weapons on one button and needing to hold another button to fire the second is a terrible idea. That will work on keyboards fine but not on controllers. Also the weapon loadout does not need it's own button. That needs to go back to the Pause Menu. Once you the loadout is removed to the pause menu, that frees up three buttons. There is already one unassigned button. Once that is done the combat will feel less janky and UI flow better.

I love the game, consoles not getting hotas support unlike pc option sux. I bought both mechwarrior games on console to use the hotas designed for the systems. I know they would work just like on pc. I really think this is a really big missed opportunity. Thank you for your time and hope you read this review.

Why are multiple weapon slots bound to the same trigger

The game is good, nice graphics and cutscenes, however the ui is like juggling while riding a unicycle on a tight rope. You have scan mode, command mode, strategy mode, weapon/hold toggles, all while having to move. Just feels like it needs a pc to play. Aside from that the game does have some graphical bugs... Over all it's a decent deal especially since it's cheaper than most new game. I think mercanaries is better.
