Rebel Galaxy
Double Damage Games Inc. · Action & adventure · Strategy · Simulation
Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.
"Rebel Galaxy" is more than just a space game: there's commerce, possible alignment with pirates and alien factions, a mysterious artifact that holds a thing ... most ancient. In-game music that is well suited; heavy and hard for battles, thought provocing and smooth, as the stars go by. And, if this ever gets old ... option the music out. No sweat. The storyline isn't too binding, either. Allowing the gamer to "Free Roam"-- at will. And, once the base of the story is set ... from star system, to star system. Only touching the game story when the player is good-and-ready. All this and more. I am Quite satisfied with "Rebel Galaxy". Simple comtroles, simple commands, with tactical options also available. So, Rock the FTL's, and give this game a go. {NOTE: There is No character creation. This is Not a 360 degree game ( for the player ). And, as-of-yet, no Down Loadable Contant.}

A SMASHING GOOD TIME!
while Rebel Galaxy may have a short and mediocre story at best with no real catchy or unique plot points and the character sprites aren't really very fun to look at... the game has a certain charm to it. Rebel Galaxy delivers arcade action with endless battles accentuated by the most amazing game sound track I've ever heard (Blues Saraceno has become one of my favorites now). Rebel Galaxy is definitely worth the money!

totaly worth it!
the graphics, controls, and play style of this title make it a great game to simply pick and play. the music is okay but can get annoying if youve been playing hours on end. thankfully that can be turned off, a nice feature in time for the background music update for your counsel. what i didnt like is not keeping your old ship after you buy a bigger,more expensive one. yeah theyre great at firepower, but if you would rather have speed instead, you have to repurchase the smaller ships you used to have and lose your big money ship in the process. what id love to see added to it is an add on where your character can pilot the fighters as well. being able to join a faction like militia or pirate and work your way up the ranks to flying the big ships. that added with seprate campaigns would add alot more depth to this already awesome game! great job you guys and keep up the good work!

What many of us have been waiting for on console.
Finally a space adventure for ppl who are sick of being excluded by all these lousy MP only titles! I'm still learning, but it's been a great time. Lots of ships to purchase with the credits you earn, (or steal). Tons of weaponry too. From a Mk 1 cannon to a Laser Particle Beam. And tons more in between. I've just bought my 4th ship and I've nearly seen just a fraction of them. Each system has it's own particular line of hardware. I think there are about a dozen systems with scores of bases, outposts, and factions to fight, befriend, or even join! Only 1 major issue: The game is in space, but the ships only move in 2 dimensions?! Anyway, if you like space adventure, battles, looting, exploring, trading, piracy, or even if you like to be honorable. Choose your friendly factions. Also, a great game soundtrack. The storyline may not be very compelling but I didn't find this to be much of a distraction. For this price, very good chance you will enjoy this one. 4.5 stars. ✌ Victory!

Heavy duty naval combat
This game is similar to the naval warfare in the Assassin's Creed games. The focus of the game is earning money in a variety of ways in order to finance your ultimate warship. You choose a variety of weapons including broadside batteries, a large variety of independantly customizable turrets, and auxiliary weapons such as mines and missiles. It has an obvious western, lawless frontier feel and is best played just going off and doing your own thing rather than rigidly following the story.
