No access to DLC Characters ? Had same problem.
1) Press the Xbox Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game
2) De-select each checkbox on the DLC Characters & deinstall them.
3) Start the Samurai Shodown Game, pick a (locked) DLC Character, press " Go to Store" which will redirect to the MS Store
4) On each of the DLC Characters, press the green button "INSTALL TO" one by one.
4) Back to the game once the downloads are done, now the Characters will show up as "NEW".
