This game along with other "reverse horror" titles like Destroy all Humans, The Darkness, Prototype, Aliens vs Predator, Carrion, and Maneater always go underappreciated. Part of the appeal of video games to me is that you can be anything, yet most games default to "heroic human #17". Recently this subgenre has gotten some love with all the asymmetrical multiplayer horror games, which is great; but I miss these single player monster simulators. And for me, Stubbs is probably the most underrated of all of them. This port adds some graphic options and improves the controls a slight bit, but isn't really a remaster. Worse, some of the liscensed music was removed. I used to listen to the OG soundtrack a lot on road trips, lol. But still, small improvements + achievements + modern console availability make this port worth it. It's iconic, goofy, gorey fun on the Halo engine, and a power fantasy game with dark humor. Give it a try!

Brings back memories...

I loved every second of it, some mechanics are slugish at times. But still a great experience overall, I would love a sequel, and with a lot more replay value! 🧠🧟
