The Bug Butcher

You play as Harry, an insect exterminator on a mission to kill all the bugs. Upgrade Harry as you complete various levels in a cute and colorful art style. With the sidescrolling shoot-em-up element of the game, it feels like it came straight out of an arcade! This game is very fun, I would highly recommend it!

Not sure if it was the developers plan but plays a lot like Space Invaders. Tight controls and frentic action make for a game that is great to play when you got 15 minutes to kill or just want to veg out and kill some bugs. Has decent humor and writing that will be skipped through by most. There is a story but this feels more like a game for those who like to shoot for the top score on the leaderboards. Would like to see more upgrades and like most games like this it can get repetive. Never the less, a great effort on the part of the devs and a good game to kill a few brain cells with.

BUT: (This seems minor but I do hope someone with design control reads it) please PLEASE release some kind of patch that makes it so that the games music continues straight through a death/retry, rather than restarting the song. The music in this game is awesome, and adds excellently to the feel, but when I try the challenging modes and die quickly, it harms the awesome atmosphere that the soundtrack is creating. Thanks, good job great game super addictive!

Game has crashed several times, most recently during a slide under the hammer (world 4, 2nd or 3rd level). Other than that, I'll continue playing the crap outta this. Amazingly fun gameplay and satisfying upgrade system add a LOT to the replayability. Once the "bugs" are fixed this will be my arcade game of the year.

addictive gameplay I love it 😊❤👍
