The Metronomicon: Slay the Dance Floor Deluxe Edition

Was a little doubtful, but it exceeded my expectaions. The rpg gimmick makes repeating songs fun, and adds elements to keep you engaged. Tunes are varied and work well. Charts make sense and can be easy or quite hectic depending on difficulty setting. If you enjoy most rythm games, worth purchasing. The price is worth the song library size. co-op and on screen leaderboards. 👍

Bought this game with intent to revive the excitement I had from the first three guitar hero games. Not that many can relate, but in the original guitar hero games you had the option to play using a regular controller instead of a guitar. That being said my advice is to mimic the controls of guitar hero controller play by using from left to right for the four colors (colorblind) left trigger, left bumper, right bumper, right trigger. Then switch from bumpers to toggle for column shifting. Made a world of difference for me and helped me land scores in top ten for most songs. Game exceeded my expectations, with great innovation on a genre that had been getting stale. DLC is worth it if you like the challenge. DISCLAIMER: If you play too aggressively, your controller may break

I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy this game at first but as soon as the music hit the floor, I was sold! ( and you get to fight monsters at the same time! ) If you like or LOVE music AND like fighting monsters then this is the game for you!

This game is awesome! I don't know how I played rythmn games before when they didn't have an RPG combined in it. Makes so much sense! Well, actually, it doesn't make sense but thats why I love it! Anyways, not going to spend too much time writing this review cuz, I gotta go boogie down to save a world ya know... Peace!

You ever play Frequency, or Rock Band on PSP? It's pretty much that, but with RPG elements, and it creates an interesting dynamic that works shockingly well. You want to maximize your score by sticking with the track with the largest flow of notes, but you have to do so while managing your party's HP, applying buffs, dispelling debuffs, and applying damage to your opponents (all done by landing note streaks with designated characters). Basically, if you enjoy rhythm games, this is a worthy purchase. It's more of what you already love, with an interesting, unique twist that's executed incredibly well.
