War Tech Fighters

Awesome game... kind of a Dynasty type game mixed with a space shooter. Lots of fun to build your own mechs. Well worth the price.

PROS-There's a good amount fun stuff that makes this an enjoyable game and I do recommend it to mech game fans to scratch that mecha itch. Progressing feels rewarding. Your strength grows noticably. Overall fun arcade action. New game+. 1st person view. CONS-When fighting anything the best viable tactic seems to be simple circle strafing. The clunky and unbalanced melee mechanics that is the CQC. The execution moves are not situational and break up the action in a monotonous way despite being able to skip them and are necessary bc they heal you. "Customization" is just a standard climb to the best gear and sets with not much variety in builds between the 3 frames you can choose from. Unable to use your sword whenever you want. The autoaim system is unrefined and will pull and jerk at times. Trying to choose a target can also be a pain. Ultimate attack charges like a kamehameha then fizzles with the effect of a weak camera flash and sometimes has a busted AoE.

Well worth 20 bones, exceeded my expectations like others. If big ol school bots are your thing give it a shot! Loving the depth of customization atm, executions as well! Transformers, gundam, robotech and voltron feel to it for sure!

Preordered cuz I'm dying for mech games & reviewed on day 2... pleasantly surprized. Gundam meets Colony Wars vibes ooze from this graphically fullfilling game, with buttery smooth controlled war mechs. Controls are amazingly fluid and snd effects are satisfying. Luv how 1 can warp between missions using L stick, luv mech upgrades, luv amazing rapid controls around space which gives a sense of power. Luv that enemies rush you and appear larger rather than just shooting at distant small dots on the screen. Only minor irritant is small hard to read font. I'm also getting some StarFox vibes, dlc would be great to put starfighter ship & have a blast, use ship point for close combat for jabs. Might be 1 of my fav space games now,thank u devs for this surprising gem & now I want more already, new dlc & a p2. UPDATE: Mech games are sorely missed this gen as well as Starfox & Top Gun's, we need more fun to control ARCADES like this to fill this voracious void. Will update when finish game.

I passed this game many times until I heavily craved a mech game, it did NOT disappoint, the customization is deep, enemies are tough, controls are solid, the achievements are not hard at all, i think my biggest issue was not being able to mix & match mech parts when it came to "sets", when 1 piece was equipped the whole set was by default, but its small in the grand scheme, i got my money's worth for sure.
