What comes after

This game has great writing, art, and audio. Well worth your time if you've struggled with death and self-doubt. My only complaints are minor tech issues and a lack of varying ghost models. The latter makes it hard to remember which ghosts made me tear up from those who....well that would be a spoiler.

Without spoiling anything this game and the main charcater (Vivi) talk about heavy themes of suicide and self-hatred. *PLEASE DO NOT RUSH THROUGH THE GAME** The story will be lost on you if you skip sections of the train and rush/skip dialogue. You'll find more about Vivi and her struggles if you take it slow and read thorugh what each of the ghost's have to say. Please resist the urge to button mash your 'A' button during some of the ghost's dialogue, you'll get what I mean when you actually play the game. Very minor things i ran into that DO NOT hinder the gameplay or story. Little things like English translation errors/Achievements being bugged. Nothing gamebreaking.

We need more emotional, short story games like this. This is a very relatable and human game. Even though its short its absolutely worth playing, and then playing again just to get the achievements and the rest of the experience.

Made me cry

If you have any self-harm thoughts or serious doubt in yourself, What Comes After might be something you need to play. Reading the other passengers stories, it helps you see your life differently - telling you it's ok and to appreciate life. Certain conversations hit close to home so, be prepared for some tears to wipe away. The game is short; getting all the achievements + 2 endings, it'll take a little over 30 minutes. Minor technical issues didn't ruin the overall experience but would have liked to see different (ghost) NPCs, as I did like the art style.
