46/46 1d6h review: Amazing and sad
I'll get my 2 gripes out of the way first:
-I wish all stack sizes were higher/equal (lowest stack is 20, highest it 999)
-The Gear acquisition got a little repetitive
WWaG is frankly amazing, both technically and functionally. There's so much thought that went into it; small things like placing a higher tier chest on a lower one not only replaces it but transfers the contents is brilliant.
The ever expanding world (4 biomes) randomizee each reset keeping it fresh, the looter-shooter harvesting and bounty system, the ammo being stored as a qty in your guns so it doesn't take inventory space, that your co-op partner can drop in/out at any point and keep their invehtory, there's just so much foresight Galvanic put into their game.
It's saddening to know the studio got shut down despite how well they did while knowing they wanted to do more. It's Hi-Fi rush all over again - good studio gets punished while excuses for studios push slop.
If you liked Crashlands or Cat Quest, get WWaG.
