ACA NEOGEO PULSTAR

Simply one of the best shoot-em-up games in the Neo Geo line up that isn't another fighting game. I hope this trend of releasing horizontal and vertical shooters continues on this platform and maybe we'll see future releases like Blazing Star, Ghost Pilots, Strikers 1945+, Andro Dunos, Viewpoint, and Zed Blade.

This has to be one of the hardest shoot em ups, but it's one of the best. I'd even say it's harder than blazing star. I couldn't believe it's actually on here. You have to be a master to beat this game. This game makes R type look easy. I have to sometimes use rapid fire in the game to even have a chance. Everything from the intro and the game it'self deserves a ten.

I played Pulstar on the Xbox Series X. Great old schoole game with good graphics / controls.

If you thought this game would be a breeze to get through like blazing star, your mistaken, this game is what would happen if you took the aesthetic from blazing star and mixed in the gameplay and checkpoint system of last resort, without cranking the difficulty to 11, expect this to be a long but satisfying journey. Oh and charge the laser to defeat the enemies auto fire doesn't effect, the powerup items powerup the charge attack

This game's title was taken from the Vangelis song of the same name. Wonderful soundtrack and beautiful artwork. Deadly difficult -but most shooters are. I say it's a classic.
