Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics

...and that's about it. Shallow gameplay, idiotic enemy AI, recycled assets and nearly every guy you drop says "they got me" right before he dies. What it does have in its favor is casual feel...you don't have to micromanage 1000 things like XCOM.

Not bad but it just doesn't go far enough into Lovecraft lore, game content, or story. Interesting characters had a lot of potential for story too but no one delivered on it. It's decent as WWII TTB but the game just doesn't have much going on. If you're a Lovecraft fan skip this game or buy it cheap. Not bad though on adapting the tabletop.

If you like turn based strategy games then give this a try!

Know what your buying so this is a pretty basic turn based game if your looking for something to balance out your collection a bit its pretty good just very basic but i mean if you want a game with less overwhelming mechanics u may enjoy its certainly not as bad as the folks expecting xcom say😁it is but its a good introduction to the genre and actually in 4k its not terrible looking for a non AAA title either just have realalistic expectations.....just replayed this sept 2023...still really enjoy this game lol.....ok so its june 2024 lol..this game is still quite fun IF you are ok with it just being more of the same...its just fun turn based stuff here...if its cheap when u see this i would seriously give it a go...

This game plays like an awful indie XCOM clone, lacking challenge, enemy variety, and strategic management. I've never played the tabletop, but recycling the exact same three room layouts for a dozen missions is offensive considering the asking price. It doesn't help my mood that a bug in event triggering prevents me from completing a mission and ruined my playthrough. Spend your hard earned money on Jagged Alliance if you need to scratch your XCOM itch.
