A pig farmer decides he no longer wants to dispose of bodies for the mob. What follows is a discussion between you, and the hitman who will have to kill you if he can't convince you to stay.
Just like Hoa last month, this game was another one that took me a short time to fully complete. And also just like Hoa, it wasn't stressful and/or rage-inducing. Took me only 2 hours this time, which was different.
There's also a funny glitch I discovered with the Hitman. It happened after I beat the game, then replayed the last chapter a few times to get the cooking achievements. After getting the last one, I paused during the ending cinematic and selected a chapter the Hitman was in, as there were still some achievements I had to get with him.
After all that, the animation of him pulling out his gun and shooting played, and he started hilariously sliding across the ground, with his gun still in hand and pointed. I went into the first free roam chapter, and it was still happening. Deciding to have some fun with the glitch, I ran around the map with him like that, and he was able to clip through almost anything. I then decided to call it the "Ghost Hitman" glitch

A great story that I've thought about a lot.
Adios is a primarily story driven experience that while not featuring action-ey gameplay, still provides various levels of interactivity (such as achievement hunting, some branching scenes) as the narrative unfolds. Some are moments that can only work in an interactive medium.
A little stiff in some places visually (the art is overall very nice!), that does not hold back the game's narrative, featuring fantastic character writing and performances all around. It can be completed in a sitting.

Most people don't know what a visual novel is
Technically this isn't what the public-at-large would classify as a video game. It's akin to a "choose your own adventure" book where uour choices affect the story. I'm only a couple minutes in, but many reviewers are saying the choices still lead to the same outcome. This is NOT a game I would pay money for, but it's one of the free June 2023 GamePass game so I picked it up.
