Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Deluxe Edition

A remake shouldn't have less features than the original, especially one for a game over 1 decade old. OG Black flag had hidden blade, unarmed, sword, and any-weapon-you-can-disarm combat. Resynced has sword and pistol combat... that's it. For a game about pirates - some of the most gruesomely violent people in history - the choice to remove from combat options instead of add makes 0 sense to me Tying into my next point, it feels like this game is having a constant identity crisis. On one hand, they vastly downgrade kenway's fleet; so that the player is capable of finishing it more quickly, I assume. Then they decide to tie it into one of the most boring, mind numbing processes; collecting items for the inagua manor while praying to RNGsus. The dark animus files that replace the animus fragments of the original almost seem to be some kind of meta satire of corporatized games...? This is one. Again, identity crisis. Lip sync is worse after the refund window. Edward constantly smiles.

Were so back Lads!!!

My dad bought me the deluxe edition because I got masters on my algebra test❤️😁

They removed being able to pickup muskets and boarding axes from dead enemies and weapon racks, and they removed being able to fight with hidden blades. Removing these excellent features is immersion breaking and makes no sense, especially when you've had those features available for over a decade Also the way they changed how you use pistols is way worse than the original. I really wanted to give this 5 stars but can't. They took something almost perfect and made it worse. Please patch back in these, and other essential features that were removed so I can give this 5 stars

Dissapointing as someone whos been replaying old ac titles. Climbing is too fast and controls and remapping are bad. Combat is Odyssey like parry but is just less fun and bland. No fist or hidden blade option, no disarming, no picking up weapons strictly floaty feeling swords. Microtransactions pouring. Maybe in a year or two they will add back the things that made the original so great. And why the heck is the rope swing right in front of the view of the little cannon on the Jackdaw???? It blocks so much screen. I will say some good quality of life in the menus and such and looks great
