Atari Recharged Bundle: Yars + Caverns of Mars

Yup...atari goodness in every part of yars revenge, if ya know, ya know... 1 star reviews are just people complaining about actually getting a real challenge, Video games used to actually require practice to master them...and this installment of YARS has loads of challenges within each of the 60-plus levels, this game achieves a level of strategic depth that's rarely seen in modern gaming these days there's almost no limit to the creative and strategic ways to conquer each enemy formation, half the fun is studying the patterns to see what you can come up with in terms of strategy, YARS recharged is a prime example of what gaming should be about...

If this game required tokens, it would take them. Its fun playing for 15-20 minutes; however, you'll come back tomorrow to play. Do not like, you have to be online to play. I feel that players who, not witnessed the Atari 2600 title would think this is some "put together game".

Great game

I never played the original version of this, giving it a try because, well I like most of the games made by ATARI old and new...it's pretty good it takes time to get used to how it plays it's not a typical shmup, it's a lot like GRAVITAR in that it has a steep learning curve, you gotta have a lot of patience and pretty decent reflexes to master the game, but when u get the hang of it you'll appreciate how fun and unique it really is
