BALAN WONDERWORLD

For a children's game its rather annoying to get hit once and lose your costume, then get a key then get the costume. Make sure you grab as many copies of the costumes because you have to go back to previous levels with new costumes to collect the rest of the statues. And if you lose it by being hit or falling well now you have to go to another level to pick it up and then go back and try again. Waste of time

Honestly i thought it was pretty fun for a bit but it definitely gets repetitive after a while but it has its charms. Balan is only played during certain minigames which happen to be quick time events. The games whole gimmick is putting on different costumes which have different effects when you wear them, but heres the thing, you only get to have 3 equipped at a time and if you die or get a brand new suit then the suit will be removed. This wouldn't be so bad but if you needed that suit you then have to leave the level or find a changing room to equip it again. Dying removes the suit entirely so if you only had the 1 suit you now have to go back to the level you found it in so you can get it again. You can hoard multiple pairs of the same suit. There is only 1 button you really need to press since every button does the same thing. Basically, not worth full price, but its definitely worth the 5$ i paid for it when it was on sale. I hope this review helped

Lacks any sort of identity, story, explanation, etc... Extremly clunky swapping between costumes and exploration of the maps. Boss fights are sad excusses designed to be challenging for a 6 year old. Would highly recommend Banjo Kazooie if you are interested in platformers.

The character designs and story are pretty solid but the gameplay is awful. Shame such good design and story was put into a game with awful mechanics and boring gameplay.

In all perfect honesty. A buddy mine bought me this game as a joke,He said at minimum to play the first world. So I did and cleared it in 20 minutes. HOWEVER this is easily the most overstimulating game i have ever played. (I have autism so things like this are often a factor when picking a game to play) Everything from the audio mixing to the grapics/Level design made my brain feel like it was about to explode from over stimulation. A rather hearty thumbs down from me with this game.
