Citizen Sleeper

The game mechanics of this game are some of the most unique I have ever seen. You the player is given a certain amount of dice every in game "day." which you get to use to interact with the world. The world and story is where this game really shines. Every interaction occures through small bite sized texts. Reading through all the text can be somewhat daunting especially if you haven't read a book in a long time, however, if you take your time and really digest what's being said you discover that each character is fleshed out and feels three dimensional. Add on top of that your own actions effecting these people and you have an experience more emotional and real feeling than any other video game. Beyond the characters being masterfully made and feeling complex, the world can be just as interesting and diverese. Countless stories all go on at once and there is always a feeling of limited time meaning you might not experience everything the city has to offer in the first go.

This game singlehandedly made me upset that I am not in a time loop where I can just experience this game and world for the first time again. To say that the setting, stories, and characters are amazing and full of depth is an understatement. This game breathes life into the universe it creates, and it's one I hope more people will try and enjoy. It won't be for everyone, especially with its mechanics and the fact its primarily a text based game, but I do think anyone and everyone should give it a shot. You'll never know what might pull you in

I actually used the soundtrack in my gaming stores mix before ever playing. The score alone is great but the depth of game is amazing. Do yourself the favor and actually slow down and read the stories of the characters. By the eand I was invested in all of thes storylines and finishing the game felt like saying goodbye to friends.

One more cycle I swear

I have consumed hundreds of stories throughout my life, whether they be through books, movies, or other video games. But I have never been more immersed in a world than Citizen Sleeper's. When I say this game is a masterclass in storytelling I mean it. Not only do all the characters you interact with feel real, but so do you. It really feels like your choices change the world and the lives of the people in it. The gameplay initially a little complicated for like 2 minuites and you will obviously need to read a lot to play this game. But if those aren't deal breakers for you than please, play this game. I literally never write reviews, sorry if this ones a lil dense <3
