Yes, the game is hard. It punishes you severely for making mistakes in combat. The best tips to be provided are as follows.. 1. You don't need armor and HP if you don't get hit. Prioritize dodging. 2. Your weight and dodge is based on 1/3s. 0-33% of weight, speedy rolls, 33-66% medium rolls, 66-99% slow rolls, and 100+ you CAN'T roll. Do NOT go above medium (66% weight) unless you plan on getting hit and being able to tank it. 3. Dying is not the end of the world and neither is loosing 1000s of souls. 4. This one will change your life. If you are struggling on a boss, LOOSE THE EGO. Just go into the fight without the goal of winning, and instead get to know your new roomate. Sit there and simply survive until you feel comfortable with the moveset you're dealing with. Avoid from winning and practice simply dodging and surviving for extreame periods of time, the game will become a cakewalk. Any of it.
