Deadfall Adventures

I see alot of people 1 starring this for reasons I can't see. It is graphically outdated overall, but still more colorful and varied than most games today. We follow a story based in a cheesy kind of indiana jones meets the mummy type experience. It takes place in the years of WW II where you take on nazis and soviets alike. It quickly goes into a cheesy romance plot between the player and this game's equivalent of Alex Vance. The main lady is combat competent and used for puzzle tips and is a LITTLE pushy about it... Voice acting is rather ****, but bearable if you can look past it. The combat is solid and does the job with decent weapon variety, but gun quirks that WILL PISS OFF gun nuts like me the first few times. Puzzles can be poorly communicated at times too. In short, it's not as bad as recent reviews portray, but certainly nothing to write home about and with some charm to be found inside.

Game has issues. Its not photo realistic and the acting is a bit campy. This is not Uncharted or CoD WW2. I am convinced (especially after reading other reviews) that unless you're a 90s kid like me or really appreciate the old 3d titles, you will absolutely despise this game. I'm enjoying it so far, though be aware that this was made in 2013, not 2000. For what it is, if you allow yourself to enjoy it, its a good time, especially with beer and a friend or 2. Just whatever you do, don't take this game too seriously, it doesn't want you to. Just a nice time killer when you wanna play a game, but not up for much in the of complexity. Better get it while its free though. Thanks for checking out my review, peace!

Played it on the 360 & liked it. Has a little bit of puzzle solving & somewhat reminded me of Metro with it's "equip it to use it" style. I like how it's one of those old games where you can equip the flashlight or compass ect, instead of it being some icon on the side that happens automatically 🙂. It's also kind of immersive(if you don't nit pick or take it too seriously)👍

If you're down for some treasure hunting & exploring cool ancient tombs all while shooting mummies, nazis & commies while also trying to solve puzzles, then this game is for you i genuinely enjoyed it and it grew on me the more i played, it feels very nostalgic like a 2005 game and i love that, but there was one frustrating thing about it and that's how stiff the look around/aiming feels, i had fun even though i felt like rage quitting some times. Thanks for reading ❤️

The gameplay itself is pleasant. The graphics are on the higher end as far as 360 games go. The puzzles are challenging and there is plenty of action. But it's the main character's voice acting that really effects the enjoyability of the game. Instead of a natural feel of conversation, it feels forced, clearly reading straight from the script. Too many unnecessary voice inflections and exaggerated, bland attempts at humor and sarcasm just leave you feeling unfulfilled. Perhaps if one were to mute the dialogue and substitute their own audio of choice, the mood killing dry banter would no longer be an issue. Or better yet, just dub it over with someone.... better.
