Overhyped
Before I rag on Demon Turf, I want to make clear that this developer definitely has the stuff to nail this genre in the future. This is without a doubt a talented group of devs. That said, this game is why I can't trust Nitro Rad's reviews (like SkillUp after Hot Wheels Unleashed).
The art direction here is inconsistent and levels are often based around a single color, which gets tedious. The controls are responsive but the moveset isn't very fun to use, and has that "floaty" feel. Chaining moves together feels unnatural and unintuitive. The game's execution of the 2D protagonist in a 3D world never gels like it should; you never feel grounded. Combat is not fun. I muted the music.
But even so, I can't call this game BAD. There's just no compelling reason to play it. It's unlikely I'll ever go back to finish this game, because there's just too much competition in the space to spend more time here. Here's hoping the developers crush their next one, though. I think they can do it.

Almost...
Almost as good as Hell Pie. But even if the pool of 3D platformers weren't so tiny, this would likely still be one to watch

A bit buggy but well polished for an indie
Main issue is collision detection. Got stuck plenty of times specifically on platforms that are held up by a pipe connected to the wall. Since the platform isn't connected to the wall, it leaves a space where you'll get stuck floating due to your character not being able to fall through the space or at least stand on an invisible barrier. Pls fix. Otherwise this is good stuff. Especially for the price.

Game is HELLA good. I DEMONd a sequel!
Absolutely LOVE it! It's packed to the brim with levels and stuff to do, while also having a fantastic moveset to learn. The Super Dribble is a god tier move, and nothing short of genius. You can blast through it OR take your time and explore to unlock great stuff. Fun slapstick combat too to cap it off. This game deserves more love!!
