Echoes of Aincrad

Honestly this game is good... The gameplay is good and so is the graphics but the animations of the talking dialogue seems soulless, and the character I play seems invisible and is treated like baby that can't handle themselves we I'm the one doing most of the fighting. The game just feels not alive, doesn't feel like I am in SAO. I wish it was free roam, there was more, that some love was put into the game but it feels lazy. I like the fighting and the environment but just wish there was more. Plue the inventory thing is dumb, I mean seriously you have to go to your room to change your stuff and put your perk points in. When in the show they can change gear, level up, and put points in right there in their menu. Wished it was more.

SAO fan here (there are glimpses beauty in the game): It looks great, combat is decent, exploration initially felt rewarding, and the first boss fight was good. Then repetition sets in... identical dungeon floors, recycled enemies, going 5-10 minutes out of your way for chests that consistently have a single cheap potion... basically areas that just waste time. Floor 2 is the same rock texture copy-pasted everywhere, a bland desert. But... you do start unlocking party members which takes you back to floor 1s beauty. Upping the difficulty on floor 2 to very hard from normal made it more rewarding. Wait for a sale. There is love put into this game and all my critiques aside, chill time killer.

Image this game but fully open world-with random online players running around getting lost in the world. Im not even crazy about the characters in the show, its just the concept of it all that has so much potential. Theres a gold mine just waiting for the first studio to just get it right. Just food for thought

I was hoping for a more open world game. The maps do expand but not really free roam mainly quest unlocks. Also creating your own team or recruiting for a guild would be great for dungeons or something but nope just a duo of following quests until game over. No jobs, guilds, or anything from the actual animes. Combat and graphics are great.

The 4 hours wait for customization is unacceptable. Then being treated like a helpless background extra ruins the hero fantasy. The game needs a real friendship, romance, and choice system centered around the player
