Far Cry Classic

Absurdly fun. For whatever reason, I couldn't get into the original 2004 PC release back in the day. Tried many times, but I got frustrated with being spotted. Turns out, I don't think full 100% stealth is the goal. You use the openness of each area to get the jump on enemies, but you're not a silent assassin. With this realization, I started having way more fun and completed the game in a single sitting. Lots of variety in environments and encounters as the game progresses. Old school fun.

Especially if mercenaries are trying to kill you, but it doesn't contain any drug trips, that's a plus. Also, it's fun, yeah, it doesn't have the unique mechanics of 2, but at least the original has a talking protagonist, okay seriously, this game is a goodie like 2.

Easy is normal. Nomal is hard. Hard is very hard. Blast everyone on easy , you will have agood time.

This game doesn't hold your hand. If you play like it's CoD, the game's cunning AI will annihilate you in seconds. This is a throwback to the days when games didn't throw obvious clues at you, or give you super abilities that act as I Win buttons. Far Cry was tough as nails and forced you to play smart or die quickly.

The Devs- This game is fantastic, it plays a lot different than a lot of the rest of the Far Cry games as it was actually made by Crytek (Who would go on to make the Crysis Series just a few years later) in their first Cryengine, Ubisoft gained perpetual rights and developed this engine into their own, for later titles. The Game - Keeping that in mind Far Cry Classic plays like a agent fps, with light stealth and thriller/horror themes. On my Series X I experience 0 lag or stutter and the graphics are simply gorgeous for a game so old, both on land, and underwater, but the animations and the surprising amount of explorable area off the path of the normal mission area are where it shines. The Difficulty- This game is definitely difficult, if you can't take your time, assess situations and strategize, do not play on Hard, some situations will require you to be clever and split people up. Normal can even be quite challenging for some. Tl;dr FPS ahead of its time, don't play hard if bad
