Gyruss

Feels like I've got a pocket full of quarters at the bowling alley, and I have all day till I before it starts to get dark

I use to play Gyruss on my Colecovision back in the day and it was by far one of my favorite home ports ever. This version is nearly identical to the original 1983 arcade release by Konami and definately worth your attention if you like classic arcade games from the golden age of video games.

One of the best early 80s arcade machines comes home. Still great. Be sure to change the graphic settings back to 'original' for the truest nostalgic experience. 🙂

Classic arcade memories.

If you use enhanced graphics, there is a controller lag at 3 and 9 oclock positions. There is no reason to use enhanced anyway as they near identcal. The Series X does use automatic HDR if that is turned on, but HDR only involves brightness and color. Even if enhanced graphics is turned on, this is a 360 game. The best on the series X you are going to get is 720p upscaled to 2160p and not true 4K. The only time I ever played this game before the few years ago that I bought it for the 360 (and maybe a few times on a MAME emulator 20 years ago) was in 1982 on the USS Raliegh, but must have played a hundred times back then.
