Hyper-5

This is a straightforward side scroll shmup with really pretty polished graphics...and that's about the only good thing about it... Where to begin...menu and upgrade UI is godawful confusing and wonky The in game controls are simple and easy to learn yet somehow feel sluggish and unresponsive The normal enemies are straight up bullet sponges, no joke no matter how much you uprade your weapon it always feels too weak, making even the weakest enemy feel like a pain in the a** to kill The gameplay just ends up feeling like a chore, and I'm not just complaining because the game is challenging, I'm an old school gamer I'm used to playing the most difficult shmups out there high difficulty level is fun when it's done right But this game designs literally every enemy to be an unkillable bullet sponge, And then pours salt on the wound by making you go all the way back to the start of the stage for one death, even if you're at the boss...honestly save your $$$ there's better shmups out there

The game crash a few times during gameplay & hardlocked my Series X when trying to quick resume the game, needs an update to fix this ASAP.

Not the best, yet not the worst I like the graphics,,it is kinda slow&a grinder to get weaponry If u like the shtmups for 10$its not a bad deal

This game had a chance to be really good. The biggest problem is you get hit sometimes, and have no idea why. Sometimes the foreground blocks your view, sometimes your ship just takes up too much of the screen. Also, sometimes it's not clear what part of the terrain is in the background, or will cause damage if you fly into it. The other problem is that the game is just boring at times. Putting in a more energetic soundtrack would probably go a long way to fixing this.

The menu system interface does not make sense but the gameplay is solid. I have played a lot of side scrolling shooters such as Gradius, Thunder Force and Einhander (please port this to xbox1). This game does not deserve all the hate. It has a robust upgrade system and you can respecialize at will. 4/5. for the not so good interface and sound effects, although the music is pretty groovy.
