Because you can adjust degradation speed all the way down, there's fast travel between unlockable checkpoints, and degrading resources are largely plentiful. Maybe they changed it right after launch, dunno, but dude needs to fix his review. It's the first one people see, it's somehow got no downvotes, and it's just...wrong. Stuff like that can cost a game sales to people who'd love it. It's got a kinda monty python style of humor, really good writing, metroidvania exploration and combat, and it's a properly deep farmy crafty survival game. Really well done, and deserves more sales. I actually got it on switch too, so i could play it in bed and before shows lol

Finished fully all upgrades, story, and tech, stopped at mind monolith (doesnt seem like anything after) but some non-story achievements are bugged (cook50dish, collectvivitems, etc.) as a completionist it hurts

UPDATE: Things spoil or degrade WAYYY too fast (even with settings set to slowest setting). I normally dont care about story, but the writing and voice acting are pretty funny.

I'm enjoying this game but at times there are no CLEAR explanations of how things work or where to find necessary items for crafting. For example, I'm close to finishing the game yet i still don't get how claws work. Sometimes i need a specific item for crafting yet the items list does not tell you where to find it. It gets very frustrating when trying to craft an remembering where the items can be found. Additionally, i ended up with tons of bones, which are unusable, that cluttered my storage. When i dumped them in an environment, performance suffered greatly. Not well QA'd, imo. Love the game but in all fairness, i cannot give it a 5. I almost gave it a 3 but this game is enjoyable.
