Life is Strange: Before the Storm Complete Season

I was REALLY skeptical. I mean, who wouldn't be? Chloe is voiced by a different actress, plus this game wasn't made by the original Life Is Strange team. As for the different actress, I ended up being okay with the change. This is how I looked at it: It's a prequel, which means younger Chloe. Younger = different voice. Yes, I know that the change in her voice wouldn't be THAT dramatic in real life, but it's that basic concept of younger = different that I'm focusing on. Now, the episode itself is amazing, for the most part. This different team has done an absolutely PHENOMENAL job at doing everything that made the original game so great...FOR THE MOST PART. I'm giving this episode 4/5 stars because of the dialogue. It is BY NO MEANS bad. It's just so literal and in your face. Well placed subtlety is what made the original game's dialogue SO GOOD. Here, the dialogue is just okay. That's my only complaint though. I am very much looking forward to the rest of Before The Storm!

Is it as good as the original? At this point I'd still say no, but I love that game to death so it'd be hard to beat. Plus it's not really fair to judge it until the entire game is out. A better question is was it a good experience? I would definitely say so. Is it a Life is Strange game? Without a shadow of a doubt yes. I can tell there are already classic scenes that I will love to replay over and over time and time again like the "two truths and a lie" because of how amazing they were. It might not be as good as the original (although time will tell on that one) but I love this game a lot already and it is definitely a faithful followup to the original.

Although only the first episode was created, the plot has begun to unravel--as seen through a fascinating and different perspective. Chloe's life story is a complex one, as it shapes who she becomes in the first game. The anger she portrays and the pain she goes through contains deep messages--some of which many of us can relate to in real life.

This so far has been a great prequel to Life is Strange. At this time only one episode has been released, but it was great. This will help fill in details that may have been discussed in the original and hopefully help build up more excitement for life is strange 2. Highly recommend this series if you like the telltale games. Also for everyone giving it one star because they dont have the "farewell" episode, it releases after episode 3. I know basic research can be difficult, but give it a try sometime

I just pre-ordered the deluxe edition I can't wait for this to come out. I completely fell in love with the first game, and based on the gameplay I saw of this one, i know it's going to be very good ❤
