Life is Strange: Before the Storm Deluxe Edition

I was REALLY skeptical. I mean, who wouldn't be? Chloe is voiced by a different actress, plus this game wasn't made by the original Life Is Strange team. As for the different actress, I ended up being okay with the change. This is how I looked at it: It's a prequel, which means younger Chloe. Younger = different voice. Yes, I know that the change in her voice wouldn't be THAT dramatic in real life, but it's that basic concept of younger = different that I'm focusing on. Now, the episode itself is amazing, for the most part. This different team has done an absolutely PHENOMENAL job at doing everything that made the original game so great...FOR THE MOST PART. I'm giving this episode 4/5 stars because of the dialogue. It is BY NO MEANS bad. It's just so literal and in your face. Well placed subtlety is what made the original game's dialogue SO GOOD. Here, the dialogue is just okay. That's my only complaint though. I am very much looking forward to the rest of Before The Storm!

I didn't think there would be much to this game so, I waited until the bf sale and pick it up for a lower price. I was very happy to discover the heart of the original intact without being a carbon copy. Great story, music and atmosphere. Outstanding work! If you are a fan of Life is Strange or new to the series, you will enjoy Before the Storm.

Is it as good as the original? At this point I'd still say no, but I love that game to death so it'd be hard to beat. Plus it's not really fair to judge it until the entire game is out. A better question is was it a good experience? I would definitely say so. Is it a Life is Strange game? Without a shadow of a doubt yes. I can tell there are already classic scenes that I will love to replay over and over time and time again like the "two truths and a lie" because of how amazing they were. It might not be as good as the original (although time will tell on that one) but I love this game a lot already and it is definitely a faithful followup to the original.

Everything is meaningful - i love soaking up every detail. The raw emotion & true life stories are so powerful and hopeful and heartwrenching and triggering and inspiring. Thank you for this 🦋

This so far has been a great prequel to Life is Strange. At this time only one episode has been released, but it was great. This will help fill in details that may have been discussed in the original and hopefully help build up more excitement for life is strange 2. Highly recommend this series if you like the telltale games. Also for everyone giving it one star because they dont have the "farewell" episode, it releases after episode 3. I know basic research can be difficult, but give it a try sometime
