When asked if I think this game causes real-world violence, I reject the hypothesis. Violence in video games saves lives by getting kids off the streets. There are many dangers in this world: bengal tigers, sciatica, and even burglars. Stop watching cable news and start doing push ups.

This is stupid hard! I want to cuss, sware and break stuff that is expensive when I get beyond the second boss.

It's close to impossible to beat these 2 games with only 3 lives. But they also have an infinite lives mode which then makes these difficult games fun. The screens are way too congested with enemies and fired shots coming at you from every angle. The levels are way too short and you can beat each game in 30 minutes. I'd much rather play Thunderforce III for the Sega Genesis that I played as a kid which did everything right. These R-Type games also don't have public matchmaking but you can play them with an online or local friend. You can toggle between old school graphics and new school which both look great. Worth about $5.
