A fantastic shump with awesome visuals & a great variety of remarkable weapons! The only thing that irked me a little was the warping effects that makes the screen wavy, but with the option to remove if u like sealed the 5 star rating. The fact that a shump gem like this was made by a single person is pretty impressive.

Excellent game, reminded me of Gradius
Excellent game and well worth the price of entry. A difficult but fun 'bullet storm'type game. Reminded me of the classics like Gradius and R-Type but with a modern take. Love it.... you won't be disappointed.

Glorious SHUMP
Beautifully rendered spacey graphics. Tough levels but fair with many different weapons available to shoot down enemies and other things. Takes time figuring out control of gun but once you do it is quite addicting. Fun game.

Painfully Great!
Masochistic SHMUP fans will enjoy this one. Its a great game w/ surprisingly good graphics ( for a SHMUP). However, the game gets 4 stars for misleading terrain that looks passable as enemy and their wpns can pass through but you and your fires cannot. Also the game pulls some cheap shots which can be fun at first but quickly loosees its luster as you start repeating levels over and over. Still a great game though thats worth the purchase.

For Earth And Humanity!
A slow moving hulking mass is headed towards Earth. After determining its hostile intent you, amongst others, are on a mission to stop it. In the twin stick, auto side scroller shoot'em up genre, Remote Life is a blast to play. Your ship has three fire modes to swap from whenever you like with multiple powerups to pickup. Levels are uniquely designed and filled with enemy variation. Most levels are side scrolling but there's a few that break this mold like escorting an ally ship or cruising around at your own pace, looking for objectives to destroy. Every level has a boss at the end which getting to was a relief for me because these levels can be tougher than the bosses. Though I did appreciate there being five lives, extra life pickups and able to destroy enemy projectiles. Achievements are tied to completing levels so nothing complicated. Beat level 15 and there's a cool, design your own creature bonus to play around with. There's also an exciting possibility for a Remote Life 2.
