Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Opposite direction than previous PT titles and that's not a bad thing! I loved every second of this entry. Storytelling, visuals, fps, combat, and exploration were ALL superb! Definitely worth checking out.

Mindblowingly gorgeous game on my S. Texture mapping done right. Playstyle is fun and full respec on death makes it fun. Story engagement is great. 10/10

Great narrative that is short and packed with beautiful environments. The sound design and ost add weight to the atmosphere, making the spaces you explore feel truly ancient and full of dread. The combat is smooth and fluid, but doesn't do anything innovative and that's fine. The biggest issue I had is that, as a completionist who doesn't use guides, I found the resonance point system to be poorly implemented. If you don't find them all on your first pass through each chapter you'll need to start a fresh save file and replay the entire game while finding every piece all over again. My advice is use a guide because there's 200 of them and the game wont even update your total if you revisit a chapter.

I honestly did not know what to think going into this game. However, the storytelling and pace throughout the game kept me engaged and entertained. The character development and emotional connection felt very organic and not forced. The puzzles were challenging but not too difficult that you need to "Google" or "Watch on Youtube" to figure out. I recommend this game even if you haven't played previous games!
