Space Engineers: Complete Edition 2025

I built a spaceship only to enter the pilot seat and remember Ive never flown. Spent 1 hour trying to unlatch landing gear. Only to flop sideways and crash full speed into a mountain. 10\10 would engineer again

It's awesome to build big vehicles and see them function as intended, but once you do that, the game is empty. Like, yeah, I have a space ship, but there's nothing to see. Sure, I have a great combat vehicle to use on... What was it again? Spiders and wolves? The occasional bots or pvp? I don't know what, but it feels super empty once you have built something. It has the potential to be one of the best games out there. I recommend it to everyone, but bring friends so it doesn't get boring.

This has held up extremely well over the past 10 years, and what you can build and do now compared to 10 years ago is astonishing. Sure there are some issues, the port to Series X was not smooth, but consider your experience to value ratio here. You're not getting fleeced, the studio genuinely cares, they actually email you back about your bug reports. Keen is amazing, and so is this game. Its worth it, you will have fun.

Alright so its been a few months, and after a long break decided to come back. So far have seen a few improvements with the game itself, specifically around PCU and Player limit. Its nice to have more PCU limit for both Online and Offline play, and with the addition of experimental mode building has gotten a little better. Scripting is still missing, atleast from what I have seen. Basic/Intermediate scripting capability is still needed and atleast the addition of some already made scripts such as automatic LCDs. There is always the possibility. But overall there has been improvements since last time. It is still more of a creative builder than a survival, would like to have wildlife on planets or Spiders for survival mode to actually make it interesting and to have more of a reason to play survival other than just worrying about oxygen and power. Also still needs controller friendly improvements. So far so good, but only time will tell. Original Review on Ultimate edition.
