The Bard's Tale ARPG : Remastered and Resnarkled

Cary Elwes is the voice of the Bard. He played Wesley in the Princess Bride movie. Playing as the Bard and listening to the voice actors weave their story gives me so much laughter. The commands are easy to learn. There's no mini map but when travelng between towns, there is the World Map. If you walk into one of the beasties in the World Map, you'll enter combat mode where you need to kill a certain number of creatures. The only complaint I have is the top-down view. Having Scottish voice actors and great writers makes storytelling fun in The Bard. Wish I could roll me rrrrri's the way they do.

I immediately bought this for the sheer nostalgia of it, and for the most part it's great. But like the title of this review indicates, it glitches. Specifically for me it just... pauses during the cutscenes involving Fionnaoch, involving the first conversation when he and Bard as well. It kind of bummed me out.

This is a unique andd fun RPG. BUT it has so many bugs its ovvershadowed. This range from gamebreaking cutscenes not playinb to aannoying things like audio cutting out and unable to buy things {Trow map seller for me}. Being "REMASTERED" this is unacceptable. It makes it feel like more of a cheap nostalgia cssh in then a faithfull project.

This is one of my favorite games of all time. A classic rpg + comedy
