The Elder Scrolls Online: Standard Edition

In 2020 I got my Dad to play ESO for the first time, It took him a minute to get used to it as he didnt play a MMORPG since WOW 2012-14ish, maybe earlier. He and I would play the game most nights. Got him to make friends, he even kept playing after I got tired of playing, got my mom to play somtimes. He loved the PVP and dungeons. Sadly while in early january 2026 he had a heart attack, even after surgery he passed away 1 week later on January 16th due to a lung infection from doctor mal-practice . I miss you dad, thank you for playing with us, you're the best tank ever.

Excellent storybook-esque MMORPG, even if some quests can draaag on. However, have to put a spotlight on the gigantic elephant in the room. For the record, been an ESO player for years with ESO+, have multiple toons, houses, mounts, etc. Took a hiatus for awhile to catch up on backlog, then returned early Dec'2024. No easy way to say it; ESO is modern Perfect World Online with insane GTAO pricings. There's game cost, DLC expansions, microtransactions which include further in-game content, zones, quests, etc (/w zero fam-share in same house; we each have to buy 2x everything). Need all that AND sub for decent game experience. Always try to get stuff on sale, but THIS next item is a thrown gauntlet. Been trying to get missus back into ESO, & she gets turned around & lost easily; thus, wanted to buy a 2-person mount. Every 2p mount costs 5k crowns. 5.5k crown "pack" costs $40 DOLLARS. BethesDUH have lost their minds. Almost the price of a BRAND NEW GAME for a 2p mount!?!?!? 😱 👎💩👎

What's wrong with mentioning all the DLC costs 200$ total? I even said the game wasn't bad

I renewed eso plus and never got my crowns, sent in multiple tickets to be ignored. Give me my crowns or a refund this is theft.
