Great game. Beyond ENTERTANING! Funny dialogue , interesting story, very addicting gameplay! coop is sweet. Like borderlands,or diablo, or destiny. I hope they keep updating . UPDATE After a few days of playing, my thoughts are amplified, THIS GAME IS GOOD!!!!!!! The maps are huge enemys brutal. Gameplay BUTTERY SMOOTHE! The controlls are so intuitive, they become second nature. If you are used to fps ,play on hardest difficulty. MUST BUY THIS!

This title definitely flies under the radar and is a hidden gem of outright fun. The idea of a first person shooter with talent trees, weapon upgrades, and a well polished leveling system is not revolutionary as Borderlands paved that path. What really sets Shadow Warrior 2 apart is the fluid incorporation of brutal melee combat with a healthy arsenal of lovingly crafted swords, tomahawks, twin daggars, chakrams and more! The ability to change between guns and blades on the fly creates a multitude of wildly entertaining ways to shoot, slice, burn, impale, and all out obliterate your enemies! Large variety of foes with challenging boss encounters. The gore is plentiful. Use a poison dipped katana to shave off an arm, dash backwards and finish the kill by shredding your target with a minigun firing ice rounds? Absolutely! Co op exponentially increases the fun and carnage. We did encounter some server lag at times. Overall a fanastic win of a game. Highly recommended!!!

It's terrible to me that many people do not know about this really enjoyable gem. It's an fps game of the older school variety, with a strong emphasis on sword play. This game handles first person melee combat better than any other one I know. It's just just the katana, there is an aresenol of weapons you'll receive, all that you can upgrade. Also, there are skills to unlock which helps you learn moves, and spells to help you. The graphics will not win awards, and it does have drops in frames now and then, but the positives far outweigh the negative. I bought this for 50 and thought it was a steal then, and I feel at 30, it's a steal now. There is a great new game+, since there are so many things to upgrade. The biggest thing I want to mention, is how I really enjoyed the protagonist, Wang, and the story. It started out slapstick and silly, but by the time I finished this, I was pretty surprised on how well everything came together. Surprising for this style of game.

Been playing fps for nearly 20 years and having a game like this is refreshing. Many singleplayer games take themselves to seriously and tend to be very linear with little to no weapon variety. This game is non of those things and for only 30 dollars as well it delivers a awesome throwback to how fps's use to be. The story is hilarious with each of levels being huge with lots of exploration and hard to find secrets litterd across each distinct area. With varied amounts of enemies inhabiting the levels the game gives you big beefy weapons so that gibbing the enemy feels super satisfying. If you liked the new Doom and Wolfenstein I highly recommended giving this a buy, its not very often we get an awesome old school shooter.

It is a game you can just sit back and have fun playing. Not just other stick i the mud save the world and do it now or we all die. It funny and crazy. and wow who doesn't want to chop up enemies with a sword and be able to choose which parts to chop off first, you can keep the enemy alive while you do it until you that thier head. yes it sounds brutal but trust me give it a try.
