The Strange City

Scary game reminds me of little nightmares with a silent hill vibe. Was really enjoying it but knocked off majorly on rating for one part alone. I legit cannot get past it for the life of me. Even with taking a day break. In fact it actually feels harder now. A huge difficulty spike. *Potential spoiler: You have to race a flying caterpillar clown while running around on a falling building block bridge leaving holes as well then at the end it flies ahead of you and I mean if you don't precisely time your jumps and path absolutely PERFECTLY you will not make it past it. Of all the times I attempted it and died I only made it past twice and even then it's so hard I still failed! The second time I realized they have a pit almost right before the door. Seriously! I really did enjoy this game though but this part is seriously poorly done. I think even if the blocks didn't fall would be hard enough or slow the clown down. At this point I felt like I wasted my money. Could've been great game.

Not a great game. They maxxed out on vibe and artwork, but game mechanics are clunky and poor. Could use more challening puzzles, and more forgiving chase sequences due to said mechanics. That said, the game is fun, creepy, great atmosphere and chilling music and worth a play.

Fun game would buy again

Terrible...played for 15 minutes. Immediately asked for a refund. Got nothing... Horrible control of character and the world look and character look clash. This game SUCKS. And you know it in the first 3 minutes of play. Marketing to be in line with litle monsters is not honest.

An absolute LN clone, minus any interesting lore or secret rooms. lol Be sure to set your graphics settings to max at the pause menu. I didnt notice that til the very end lol. The whole time I thought the graphics looked absolute budget til I tweeked that. Your main character has 0 personality, and just 1 quick intro cutscene to not even make them 1 bit interesting. You're basically just moving around a silent agent Scully (X-Files) funko pop figure. Lol There's some interesting gameplay here with some bs janky chase scenes that can almost piss you off after so many fails. Cool atmosphere levels the further u play onward. My personal favorite stage was the slaughterhouse. That one was intense. You might rarily get lost in some areas, if you're kinda dumb like me. Overall, I give this game a 4/5. U can pretty much pass it in 2 or 3 hours (depending on you). I found this game more entertaining than Little Nightmares 3, that's for sure. I would recommend waiting for sale, like I did.
