The Town of Light

My own personal experiences have been stressfull and rough just in this day and age alone. It took quite a few years to find the doctors and medications that were right for me to live a normal life. To even imagine the horrors i would have had to go through back then is enough to make me grateful I live in this time period. Great to see a game that took their time to thoughtfully think about what they were releasing. 👍❤👍❤👌

Unlike your traditional horror genre, ToL displays more of the unfortunate reality that mental patients may have suffered. You can't consider this fun because it wasn't entirely intended for that, but for you to understand the world that these souls had to go through and often never resolved. And this piece is more about an unsettling tale than a "survive the nightmare" bit you are probably used to. If you're looking for a gut-wrenching or jump-scaring title, you won't find it here. But dare to see what you may never experience or understand.

Haven't completely beat it yet but I like what i've seen so far and this is a journey that you will not forget any time soon.. It makes you start thinking about stuff past and present.. Turn your lights OFF and get ready to enter a world of madness and mental horror.. Glad to see still games like this, where developers are not afraid to show us the naked truth that goes under your skin - bravo !! 👍

Normally, i find the "you TOO can have a mental illness" genre of games somewhat insulting, or just sophmoric and childish. (No one who has been truly ill would wish the experience on another. Not being able to trust your own mind mind is awful. You don't want to try it for fun. It's not fun. Not in any fashion) but this looks...different, and frankly, really freaking beautiful. I personally long for this level of artistsic foresight and design to attach itself to the the storytelling medium that we all love and respect so much, so even though my limit for 'scary' games is somewhere around Prey or Alien (Scif owns me. And I love ghost stories. They have such a hauntingly thoughtful romantic sensibility), i'm gonna buy and support this gorgeous, terrifying, and stunning thing and summon my courage to give it a playthrough. With the lights ON. 🙂👍❤👻

what a mind trip. I didn't want it to end. The story is great, I Couldn't STOP Playing!!!
