BPM: Bullets Per Minute

The game is really great, it's fast, hits hard, and the soundtrack is a banger, but I suck at it, and don't have the patience to restart the entire game every time I die.

I enjoy the game its fun. However, the games main selling point of being a ''Rhythm Shooter'' im just not feeling it. It feels like there is a delay. With enough play time Im sure you would be able to pick up on this and adjust accordingly. My other issue is that you fly through every room and then hit the boss who is way over powered compared to the rest of the dungeon. Got it thats why he's the boss but it is a stark diffrence that makes it feel unbalanced. So the end state is get it if your A fan of retro FPS DC but I would recommend getting Ziggurat instead. It plays cleaner, looks better, and its cheaper at its regluar than this on on sale. Oh yeah it also has more color unless a whole game under a bronze fillter is your thing then drive on.

I hated the game at first but once I got the patterns and timing down it became really enjoyable. However, the game constantly crashes, stutters, etc. it didn’t start becoming an issue until I beat the game a few times and unlocked almost every character (miss me with the characters that die at any damage dealt). Side note: Geri is the best character. Save those coins in the bank to unlock him and keep 100 coins stocked up to increase your chances at beating nidhogg.

I guess this is more of a first impression than a full review: The game has a "practice" setting which is just the base game, but at the easiest difficulty. I thought it would be more of a tutorial of sorts, but it's not. I guess some would argue this game doesn't need one, but I would have liked something. Especially when it comes to how certain items work. The controls are also a bit difficult to dial in with any great precision. You can adjust them fairly well, but it should be a lot better. Don't get me wrong, though; it is a lot of fun to jump in and play.

There are some games that are just not meant to be played with a controller and this is one of them. You cannot aim and the aim assist is nonexistent despite it being turned on in the options.
