Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey

I really enjoyed the overall story, which is a strange mix of fantasy and Victorian era England. The voice acting is a standout and deserves recognition. The controls are awkward and not always as responsive as they should be which can make actually playing it feel tedious. Overall it was worth playing through for the atmosphere and writing. I recommend it if you enjoy quirky adventure games and I want to recognize the obvious care that went into its world building.

This game takes an interesting approach to discovering who Jack the RipperI was. I am actually impressed with how much research they did on Jack the Ripper, specifically the women he killed. The game has a codex which provides a lot of background facts on each victim, as well as life in Victorian London as a whole. The story is very interesting as we play as Sir Lacelot somehow immortal and devoting his life to rid the world of Evil, the latest quest bieng to stop The Ripper. You can have a lot of different interactions with many side characters which greatly impact how their lives played out. The movement controls can be a little annoying at times, but it's no reason not to play this. Very cool story, a good mystery to solve, love the Victorian setting, and I really liked the Devs message of giving the Ripper's victims a voice. Everyone remembers Jack even though no one knows who he is. Almost no one knows anything about the women he killed except their 'profession'.

So far so good. Decent graphics. Good control. Fun and interesting dialog and story. Nothing like the true Jack The Ripper. At least I don't feel ripped off like I did the last 3 games I bought made me feel. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Once you get past the awkward movement and controls its actually a great game. The writing and voice acting are superb. The game is 80% walking/talking sim and 20% other game mechanics. Its an interesting story that is highly entertaining. Kind of like watching a movie with some interactive elements.

The outline for the story involving popular fantasy characters intertwined into the mystery of the White Chapel Killings is quite intriguing. The story elements, while interesting, are maybe not as in depth as they could have been. Voice acting in the game is excellent, easily the best part of the game. Environmental design looks great, but animation sequences can be a bit unpolished/choppy (at least on original hardware). Movement in the game can be a chore. **Product Received For Free**
