They had the stuff necessary for a successful ending to the franchise, they had what they needed from Inquistion right there in the palm of their hand and they threw it away

This is an insult to long-term fans! Character arcs either felt rushed or just dry in the way of depth. They have one characteristic that is their entire personality, and that's it! So bad that three of my companions DIED and all I felt was "meh, that's rough." Not to mention I felt no connection with Rook. No immersive backgroud story or relationship building for the origin you choose. So bland... _ Now the lore... Soooooo, just gonna blame everything on the elves, huh? Lazy. And just downright wrong. How are you telling me that every choice since The Hero of Ferelden all stemmed from an oopsie from ancient elven spirits? Speaking of choices, welcome to the game where they just don't MATTER! Every ending is the same! There is no deviating from the only ending BioWare slapped together. What TRASH!

If I forget this is meant to be DA and think of it as a fantasy game, I could almost give it 3 stars. But it’s not. The biggest personal insult is how utterly useless all my world-building decisions throughout DA are here. What were they doing for 10 years? They’ve stripped out meaningful choices, persuasion, and consequence—this isn’t even an RPG anymore. It’s just a fantasy adventure story now. Really nervous -- please don’t do this to Mass Effect. Listen to customers while you still can.

This does not feel like dragon age at all... What a slap in the face to the franchise.

I waited 8 years for this game, i loved da1, da2, and dai, dai being my favorite because that was the first one i had started with and i loved it so much and after beating it 16 times i bought the others anc eagerly waited for da4, i so desperately wanted to see how the story would end and how my choices would affect the next game. Dont waste ur money, this game is a joke compared to its predecessors, and it makes me wonder what the heck went on in that studio over the last 10 years. The gameplay is repetitive and you have to fight ur way through every problem to solve it. The dialogue and character interactions are so bland and boring and you cant even really have a unique playthrough like any other RPG because it forces you to take the same path pretty much each time. Solas and his character are the only good thing in this game, all in all this was a huge disappointment, DONT WASTE UR MONEY
