Gothic 1 Remake

I just finished my first-ever play-through of GOTHIC (Remake). 164 hours invested. Level 36 Mercenary. Health 572. Str. 113. Dex. 116. I took my time. Explored every nook and cranny. The key to the game? PATIENCE. There is no instant gratification here. Not in fighting; not in lockpicking; not in finding your way around; not in friends; not in anything.☠️ But, honestly, the game just gets better and better, as your character slowly begins to increase in power. A few years back, I picked up a cheap, used RPG from Gamestop's dollar bin called RISEN. Played it. Loved it. That was my intro to PB, so I jumped at the chance to grab GOTHIC 1 REMAKE, 'cause I've heard so much about the OG. I wasn't disappointed. Yes, the game has PLENTY OF BUGS🪲, but the solution is simple--STOMP THEM 👢💥and keep going. Have fun--life's too short! 🤸‍♀️🎈✨🏃‍♂️

I play on a Series S and haven’t experienced any crashes, I also heal upon sleeping so idk what’s going on with other people. Just here to say yes the game has jank but it is really fun and challenging. It doesn’t hold your hand. I’d suggest if you’re on the fence then wait for a sale. Combat reminds me of Risen and Elex somewhat so if you’re familiar with those games you kinda know what you’re getting into. I never experienced the game when it first came out so really I can’t compare the remake with the OG but I am having a great deal of fun.

Needs a performance mode. It is gorgeous tho. Extremely immersive. No crashes for me at all. And the difficulty is perfectly balanced.
