Into the Pit

It's a fun time for a few hours, but you'll notice a lack of variety after you've explored a few areas. They mainly just have different textures, but the enemies that appear are the same or effectively the same. There are a very small number of chunks that the levels use to generate, so you'll be running the same formats often. Also, strangely, the game ends when you beat the final area instead of allowing you to go back to town to 100% the game. You can reload and fight the final boss again, and for some reason it will duplicate and you'll fight 2 or more. Seems like a bug, but it essentially forced me to stop playing. So if you want to 100% this, do it before entering the Nightmare Abyss.

Honestly a hidded gem, Really fun FIRST PERSON roguelite game. I honestly dont understand the bad reviews for this game? IMO it looks fine.

I've had my eye on this game for awhile now, played the steam demo for a few hours and put it on my wishlist. Imagine my surprise to find out that this little indie game none of my friends have heard about made its way day one onto gamepass. Its a pretty standard roguelite procedural arena shooter with cool magic upgrades for your hands and tons of permanent progression and stuff to unlock. I really recommend giving this game a try if you have any interest in roguelites or just arena shooters.

Gets pretty stale. Also, the amounts of times I've gotten stuck on the terrain is unacceptable. Seems impossible to me that a tester wouldn't have got stuck on any walls or in-between fence posts. Could use some TLC and updated abilities.

it's a fun little rogue-like. 4 zones with 4 levels each, then a final area boss. the levels can overstay their welcome if you want all the collectable "motes," and overall progression can feel really slow, but if you have the patience for it, like the frenetic fps gameplay of Quake, and don't mind the blockier and retro stylized graphical presentation, this is the game for you.
