Feels different from 1st game, but thats good
Do not expect a direct sequel to the happenings of the first game. This game tells another heinous event conducted by Murkoff and allows you to slip into the mind of another freedom seeker, ravaged and torn apart mentally. 5/5. I recommend reading the free comics on redbarrels.com as they bring everything into focus. A lot of people disliked how the game went from hiding all the time, to more chase scenes. I think the chase scenes were a good edition because if you were in the protagonist's position, wouldnt you want to get as far away from your pursuer & run for freedom as fast as possible instead of hiding in a barrel the whole time? Plus it adds a layer of realism because real people dont have rigid movement patterns. Anyway thanks for reading, I know when I reread this i'll notice some flaws in my description of how I felt about the game, but at the end of the day this is an xbox review typed with a controller so whatever. FINALLY
Been waiting for this one. loved the original and Whistleblower. Outlast 2 sticks to the same gameplay style while adding some cool new features and improving all the old ones. An absolute must have for survival horror fans. Thank you Red Barrels for this release. Another One 🔥

BEST HORROR SERIES AVALIABLE AND CHEAPER THAN MOST!
The whole camera view adds a twist and the fact that your not holding a gun or weapon makes the horror aspect even better. alot of people might pass it up or think it looks dull cause of that, but it doesnt need weapons its about surviving with basically a nightvision camera and using ur brains ''one way or another hahaha'' definantly worth every penny and worth the time!!

Very good game with 2 negatives
As a hardcore survival horror game fan, I far prefer the ones you can defend yourself instead of running and hiding the whole time..but Outlast 1 and 2 and i’m sure any sequels are simply the Best of the games that you can only run and hide. The story is Very good, immersive. The charecters are interesting. The graphics and frame rate is very good. Outlast 2 is a new and separate story from Outlast 1 and is much scarier than 1 (and I don’t get scared easily). Had a couple jump scares and it keeps you feeling uneasy/nervous. Towards the end is especially insane/frightening. I gave it only 4 out of 5 because 1 problem the game has from start to finish, is that it’s trial and error, to an aggravating extent. You WILL die a lot, until you eventually find out what you were supposed to do/where to go. Also, because of the design and that there isn’t more (like combat), although there are higher difficulties, there's no replay value. Still, it's worth getting on sale. Tip: Follow the light.
