Thought it was a slog at first. Ended up falling in love with its incredibly strange nature. This is like nothing I have played before.

This game blew me away. From the historical accuracy, to the commentary on religion, the Catholic Church, the reformation, and the use of theology and Scripture. I’m shocked. This game is a masterpiece and is art in every sense of the word. Do not feel like you have to be religious to play. The story is very human, and speaks to the flaws of religion and social/economic classes. This game is a gem. Positives - solving murders - great protagonists - cool RPG elements - the writing

Be aware this is geared towards a certain audience. This game is NOT for everyone... However, the audience this is geared towards will absolutely adore its excellent story telling, brilliant art style, sense of humor and really, a very decent breadth of scope. The choices you make really do matter and you can feel it. Kudos to the dev for making a game like this with such attention to detail and also historical accuracy. Very fun adventure. I highly recommend. As a side note* my wife and I play together and try to voice all the different characters. It's alot of fun and I recommend that to anyone who has a partner silly enough to play along.

The setting and attention to detail is amazing. History buffs and those interested in story driven content will love it. Pros Writing is top notch, choices matter, unique atmosphere, replay ability Cons Lack of any sort of mass appeal ( You will love this game or think it's hot garbage ), controls are a little clunky, confusing at first but, that smooths out fairly quick. For the history buff, novel reader, mystery lover this is a game for you. Those hoping for a FPS don't bother even downloading. This game is very niche and doesn't pretend to be anything else.
