Project Warlock is a first person shooter that fans of Doom, Hexen and Wolfenstein cannot miss. It serves you an exploding cocktail of bullets, spells and monsters. Battle through 60 levels of non stop action packed with bloodthirsty enemies and challenging bosses.

Dont compare it to DOOM
This game just feels right. Its well worth the price and apparently this is their first game.. I genuinely cant wait to see what else these folks make. And I only say dont compare it to DOOM because its about as close to 93 DOOM as stacking multiple WADs would be. Like the similarity is there but....this is undeniably an awesome improvement. No recycled enemies between stages either, keeps feeling fresh long after the seal is broken.

Haven't had this much fun in a shooter in a while.
I'm so happy I found out about this game, its triggered a whole slew of me downloading and reliving some of the old shooters from my younger days that scared the **** out of me at that age. The game just bleeds substance and style and is unmistakably created with love and immense care. This game is a must for any fans of old school raycast FPS games. Here's to hoping the developer can bring Project Warlock II to Xbox Consoles as well, i'm super excited to check that one out since it looks like the evolution into a more Quake-esque feeling of gameplay. Hoping and praying for it. Fingers crossed.

For fans of DOOM and Wolfenstein
Truly amazing spiritual successor. Slightly unforgiving checkpoints but at least you don't lose all your weapons when you die. With the added spells and leveling up between zones, Project Warlock is definitely the best DOOM clone I have ever played. It does exactly what DOOM does and adds so much more. Many different weapons, enemy types, and locations. The only thing holding this game back from a 5 star is an oversight in map design I wish they would patch: Several areas have an elevator that goes up, but if you hit the switch and step off said elevator, there's no way to call it back and you have to restart the level. Thats happened to me more than a couple times now.

Episode 2 GAME BREAKING BUG boss fight
This game was fun until E2M12 Where the boss became invincible and literally I couldn't kill it, it had no health Icon and ruined this game entirely. DOOM was made in 1994 and has little to no glitches yet you couldn't accomplish that with a technically better version, FIX THIS Instead of making sequels.

Art style is nice and shooting is pretty satisfying, but it doesn't really have anything to add to the genre. You collect keys and open doors in linear corridors. The game is also really easy on standard mode but then wipes you out with the castle boss... at which point I had no desire to start over. There was really no reason to implement a permanent game over system on standard difficulty.
